Physics of Madness

Posted on Feb 4th, 2006 by Stefan
I'm schizophrenic. I don't see things the way most others do. My world is made up of realities that are constantly trying to gain a dominant position over my ego. At least this is how it is when I'm not on meds. While on meds these realities almost vanish and leave me wonderring "What was that all about?". And so in the spirit of this inquiery I think of myself as a Quantum Cognition Theorist. I am searching for the physical underpinnings of madness through the lense  where quantum physics and consciousness meet. Too much has happened with my insanity for me to believe that madness rests completely outside of reality and can be comprehended only as existing within an aberrated imagination. What we schizophrenics experience has the potential to be understood through a deeper understanding of modern physics. Collaspe of the wave-function, holography, parallel worlds and zero-point energy all have the ability to shed some light on the workings of madness. These physical models combined with consciouness lead me to a place where it seems madness isn't irrational but hyper-real. We actualize abilities that are only posibilities for most. We need a new model of madness that validates the processes we go through and justifies giving us a meanningfull role to play in the evolution of western and even global culture.
